About Sea Pony Press

Sea Pony Press is a community of makers who honor the Tongass National Forest and our unique ways of life through acts of creative expression. Sea Pony Press advances the legacy of Eric and Pam Bealer, renowned artists who left their unique homestead and a set of historic printing presses at the edge of wilderness to the Sitka Conservation Society — to use to protect the lands and waters they loved.

The Sitka Conservation Society is the oldest conservation organization in Alaska. Our mission is to protect the Tongass and support thriving communities across Southeast Alaska. Sea Pony Press, as a program of this organization, supports artist residencies, community workshops, and collaborative projects that celebrate Southeast Alaska.
